MY BACKGROUND...
An award-winning standby / art director with over thirteen years of experience, I have built a distinguished career helping to shape the visual identity of high-end film and TV productions. My work spans large-scale, internationally recognized projects, where I have collaborated closely with directors, production designers, and creative teams to bring complex narratives to life through meticulously crafted environments. Known for a strong conceptual vision and an exceptional eye for detail, I excel at translating scripts & design-scapes into immersive visual worlds, balancing artistic ambition with practical execution.
MY APPROACH...
I have always been driven by a deep love of building worlds, seeing it as the essential first step in drawing an audience into a story. For me, art direction is far more than aesthetics—it is the foundation upon which atmosphere, tone, and emotional resonance are built. I am passionate about filmmaking and the power of visual storytelling, and I believe that thoughtfully crafted environments allow narratives to feel authentic, immersive, and alive. I believe that art direction a vital force in bringing stories to life on screen.
EDUCATION & SKILLS...
I was educated at Bournemouth University, where I developed a strong foundation in visual storytelling. Alongside my academic training, I have built technical expertise using industry-standard design software, including Vectorworks, Maya, ZBrush, and Adobe Photoshop, among others. This digital skill set is complemented by my hands-on proficiency in scenic painting and conceptual sketching, allowing me to move between initial ideas and fully realised visual environments. Together, these skills enable me to approach art direction with both creative vision and practical precision.
